Jaden Sawyer is a creative entrepreneur with a serious sense of style, so her most recent endeavor, The Cottage Closet, is no surprise.

Opening in August of 2020, the boutique is brand new but Jaden has an abundance of experience in the retail industry. The Cottage Closet is a children’s boutique, primarily providing online shopping experiences specializing in timeless toys, clothing and accessories. While The Cottage Closet is primarily online, Jaden enjoys setting up her boutique for special events to connect with her customers. In-person shopping appointments can also be arranged with Jaden for trying on clothes and testing out toy quality upon request.

The Cottage Closet has been inspired by many aspects of Jaden’s life. Her one year old son, Liam, is a large part of that inspiration. When she was pregnant and even now that he is a toddler, Jaden recognized a need for baby boy clothing options in her community of Bolivar, Missouri. Not only did the community lack a variety of boy clothing options, but the few options that were available didn’t match Jaden’s taste preference. This provided the perfect opportunity and creative outlet for Jaden to open a boutique, providing a variety of clothing options and specializing in timeless, not trendy, styles.

Another inspiration for The Cottage Closet and Jaden’s life, has been her grandmother’s cottage. The classic, homey cottage inspires Jaden’s fashion taste and desire for long lasting, high quality products. She has lots of memories, clothing and toys in the cottage that will be passed down to her son. Jaden wants to provide a similar experience and legacy for her customers by providing high quality, timeless products that will last and can be passed down through generations.

THIS SATURDAY, November 28th, is Small Business Saturday and Jaden will have The Cottage Closet set up at the original country cottage.
